Just like people, horses have very unique personalities...some more noticable than others! We have many "personalities" on the property, but there is one particular guy that has been entertaining us consistently every morning and every evening. He is our meal-time clock and hay time-keeper...his name is Kidd!
Here is Kidd coming up to the Barn and Bunkhouse to let us know it is now time for breakfast!
He comes up by himself every morning and every evening before feedings!
Once he gets through the gates, he usually whinnies, making sure there is no question that WE know
it is time for him to eat!
Kidd will follow the hay truck EVERYWHERE! Here he is chasing it AFTER we have fed the breakfast meal (the supper meal still in the back for later)!? He will go back down and eat, but not before running all the way back to the Bunkhouse to make sure the truck is parked!
Sometimes Kidd will enjoy a salt lick or two while he is waiting for us to get the truck loaded. :)
Sometimes he will stand guard at the truck...probably just in case a hay bale magically leaps out!
He is a silly boy and as gentle as can be! We love him!
